Inspiration behind the book
Writing a book was something I’d always dreamed of, but never truly believed I’d get the chance to do. Life has a way of piling responsibilities on us... work, bills, routines. Somewhere along the way, my creativity slipped through the cracks. For years, I thought my imagination would stay trapped in the back of my mind, waiting for a quieter season.
Then the start of 2025 changed everything. My fiancé and I moved into a new home, I stepped into a more flexible job, and for the first time in years, I finally had space to breathe… and to read the way I used to.
It was during one of my lunch breaks, book in hand, when the lightbulb lit up. I realised that in all the fantasy and romance novels I’d devoured growing up... and there were lots of them, soul bonds and mating bonds were always romanticised, destined and perfect.
But what happens when the bond isn’t a blessing?
What if it was a sentence?
What if two powerful mages are forced into a soulbond neither of them wants, one that strips away choice, freedom, and even pieces of themselves?
That question ignited something in me. And in that moment, Bonds of Fate was born. The world unfolded as I began to write, the characters sharpened, and every tangled piece of my imagination finally found its place on the page.
